I never thought that a god would be so stubborn as  a teenager. But then again, most younglings have that trait. They love fighting with their parents. It's almost as though they make a sport out of it. "I bet I can get my parents to have a worse migrane than yours!"

I can only begin to fathom the sort of living hell that a parent must live through constantly quarreling with his/her child. The sort of mental torture that they must withstand knowing that their kid is doing the wrong thing but they're way too stubborn to pay attention and do as they say. And the treatment that  Siddhartha gives to his father seems horrible. The way that he just ignores him and manipulates him into letting him join the Samanas. As you can see in page 7, when the book says that he "... stood silent and motionless, sat on the mat, and the stars passed across the sky."
But then again, I do have to give credit where credit´s due. The method that Siddhartha uses to convince his dad is remarkable. He knows that if he fights with him he won't get what he wants because his father is trained to have patience and to remain calm. And he's also aware that good things come to those who wait, he combined the both of both worlds and got what he wanted and "joined the pilgrim"

Even the world famous "Advice Mallard" says that you should always trust your parents.

And who can't trust a duck?

Write Now: Types of Love in Poem

This poem is an expression of love. The whole thing circulates around this woman (Carrie Shippers) worshipping the guy that plays Jesus in the musical. The way that she constantly describes him like a god (or son of a god) is actually suffocating. She talks about his "thinning hair and wrinkled brow" and just keeps on rambling. All this is a clear sign of eros (sexual attraction). This gal has a serious crush on Jesus. And not anyone can say that.
And this girl is also a frequent lover of everything That is, agape. The way that she describes the entire casts and puts them on a pedestal clearly shows that she is a lover of everyone.

A Society of Chronic Complainers

One of the main flaws that adults find in "our generation" (that being the kids they raised) is that we complain about a lot about things with little to no importance. Some popular examples said by children that drive parents to the brink to dementia are "my tummy hurts" or "I'm hungry". Adults get frustrated by the fact that children rely 100% on their parents for comfort, so they get frustrated when kids can't cope with problems that they can, be that opening the fridge or swinging on the swing.
But what they don't notice is that they complain just as much as we do. Economy, politics, cars, anything. All humans like to complain because at the peak of their complaining, they feel a thrill of excitement because deep inside their innards are telling themselves "You just solved that problem by doing nothing except posting an annoying status update about your food being starchy on Facebook which your friends will all like and that will make you feel better because you feel like somebody supports you and cares for your problem and feels empathy towards you when in actuality they just feel sorry for you and find that you are a sorry loner that has nothing to do in life other that posting petty updates on Facebook".
But anyways, I'm getting off topic. What I was trying to get across is that even adults complain, and in copious amounts. The only difference between that and Jimmy over there hurting his knee is that adults don't have a superior to nag at them telling that they complain too much. I sometimes wish there was a magic person that electrocuted adults every time they are being hypocritical.
Another section of this topic that I would like to cover is the fact that complaining is a communal thing. Most animals (humans especially) are pack animals and function a lot better when in a group. And I can think of hundreds of times that my father invited some of his friends to do a BBQ and they would yell at each other between sips of beer about the high tax rates or why the current president is doing a terrible job. They don't really notice exactly how obnoxious and annoying they are because they're doing it in a communal setting. But for me, the 14 year old boy in the corner twiddling his thumbs it is definitely  a place I don't like to be in.

This is truly an incomplete article, in my opinion. It just leapfrogs the issue by repeating unnecessary statements that are just generic sentences that schools say to comfort their students. "The holistic evaluation of applicants not only allows us to select the best possible candidates, it also enables us to assemble the best possible entering class. Our mission is to identify the entering class that will produce the best educational experience for our students". This is a prime example of those silly things that are said at the start of term assembly. I actually find it quite funny that when presented with obvious statistics, the universities just dodges the facts and just appeals to the readers emotion. It's a logical fallacy, and I expect a lot more from the University of Texas.
They are also being very deceptive in the way that they manipulate the admissions. They state that in the interviews they look for determination or other positive aspects. "We look for talent and intellectual quality. But we also look for character; for virtues such as curiosity, flexibility, judgment, drive, determination and a commitment to use the advantages of one’s education to give back to society." They state that race plays a major part in the personality of the person, but they also assure us that they aren't racist and that they prefer white people to black people. And when the stats are clearly showing that white people are admitted more, the university just says that they have higher moral standards and there is nothing we can do or say to prove them wrong.

You can be more crazy in the internet. This is very true. Since it's anonymous and there is no immediate consequences, it allows people to be more ruthless and be more aggressive.
A multi tasking learning environment is bad. Probably true, since we cant do one thing well.
Multitaskers are bad at multitasking. I disagree. There are people that can do more than one thing at once. For example, I can play Fifa and listen to an audiobook at the same time. I will win my Fifa match and understand the book well
We are consumed by what we are nurtured by. This is very true. It kind of ties with the saying "everything is excess is bad"
Google makes us smarter. I agree, since we have that instant remedy for our curiosity.
Research cant catch up to technology. I disagree, since the way we research is by using the latest technology.
Facebook is addicting. True. I have personal experience with this. Sometime you can't unstick yourself from it.
The webs can make us better people. This is true, since we can make good decisions because we have time to act and to revise.
We should teach kids how to act responsibly on the internet. I agree, since some kids are very violent online and cyber bullying can happen.
Children are naturally good at using computers. True. I have a 5 year old friend can use an iPad better than my grandmother, who is a lot smarter.
Kids are native in the internet world. We were born in the era of technology, so we are used to it and now how to use it perfectly.
There are no jobs now that make you sit down and be quiet. False. Lawyer
Technology decreases violence. True, since people can let off agression via games instead towArds other people.
Technology makes your grades better. False. When you become addicted you don't want to do anything thats not playing, i.e homework.
We should teach kids to multitask. True, if we know they are going to do, we should make them good at it.
Technology attracts kids and spikes interest. True. It's an explosion of information, which is exactly what kids like.
You can't assign a book nowadays that's more than 200 pages. True, kids will just use spark notes or something like that.
Writing skills are worse. True. Since we are exposed to slang and improper language its not a good thing.
Now we have constant interruptions. True. Facebook, games, email, bbm, etc.
There are distractions. True. Games, TV, blogs, etc.
